I got COD4 the other day and played right up till the sniper level. Then the game froze up and my Ps3 hasn't worked since.

My controller won't sync sometimes too. This started after the 2.0 update. I tried to turn off the media bar, but after I thought I disabled it, it was still running at the top. Now I can't even play a game before it messes up. I've called sony and I am waiting for them to send me a box for shipping, but maybe it isn't broken after all. Could anyone shed some light on this major problem of mine......I just got a 40" lcd tv and I had to plug up my PS1 for crying out loud!!!! Please help with any comment that u guys have.....thanx

I can get a 1tb hard drive if I have to. I've been using Xilisoft, and some videos are fine, but others the sound is off so the mouths move, but the sound doesn't come out on time. Also some movies act like there is lag, and skip like moving from frame to frame or whatever.
I want to know what the best converter is. Please help. The file size I was getting was about 1gb per movie which is why I would need 1tb or bigger.

PS3 CPU & Hardware Information

The PS3 comes equipped with a 3.2 GHz Cell processor with one PowerPC "Power Processing Element" (PPE) and seven Synergistic Processing Elements (SPEs) clocked at 3.2 GHz a piece. This yields an effective 2.18 TFLOPS of processing power, which is twice as much as the XBOX 360. The main PowerPC PPE has 512 KB of L2 cache and one VMX (AltiVec) vector unit. Each of the seven SPEs is a RISC processor with 128-bit 128 SIMD GPRs with superscalar capibilities. Each SPE comes equipped with 256 KB of L1 cache/software-addressable 4.8 GHz SRAM, called the "Local Store".

Only seven SPEs are active; the eighth is redundant, to improve yield. If one of the eight has a manufacturing defect, it is disabled without rendering the entire unit defective. Additionally, one of the seven active SPEs is reserved for use by the system's OS, leaving six SPEs directly available to applications.

In order to cool these processing units, the PS3 heat sinks use heat pipes which allow the heat sinks to transfer heat quicker, and thus keep the components in the right tempature range.

Essentially a Wii modchip is a small circuit board that is used to disable the built in restrictions and limits of the Nintendo Wii. They bypass any region coding, digital rights management and copy protection which means you can run unlicensed software or copied games (usually written to a blank DVD).

Nintendo Wii Modchip Features

-Play copied Wii/Gamecube games you have downloaded
-Make full copy’s of games you or your friends own/rent
-Play imported Wii/Gamecube games
-Play games from consoles such as the N64, SNES, Sega Genesis & more!
-Get access to the entire library of virtual console games
-Add new functionality to your Wii with powerful Wii homebrew applications
-Load your games, movies and music on an external hard drive for a one -click access media library

Unlocking your Nintendo Wii will give you all of those powerful features and much more. Personally I have been using my Nintendo Wii recently to take me back to my child hood playing classic games from the Super Nintendo. In fact, I downloaded the entire library of SNES games from BitTorrent and now have them all at my fingertips!

Anyone who complains that the PS3 doesn't have enough games to justify its existence needs only to look at God of War 3, Heavy Rain, The Last Guardian, Gran Turismo 5, and even 3D Dot Game Heroes to see the error of their ways. We haven't even touched on what possible surprises Sony and its friends might reveal later at E3 or somesuch. You see, in order to get your games copied, you will need to decode or decrypt the protection code that's on any of your games. To do this, I highly recommend you to take the Easy Backup Wizard.

To burn a Xbox 360 game, you will need to have only 4 things that are easy to get.
4 - You need an original Xbox 360 game.

With the economy being the way that it is,games that cost $60+, and gaming companies (I'm looking at you Capcom) nickeling and diming you for DLC, I thought I would take a few minutes to highlight some outstanding values in gaming.

1. Unreal Tournament 3- For $19.99 new or $17.99 used at Gamestop, you can have access to one of the greatest FPS series in the history of gaming. I grew up playing games like Doom, Quake, and Unreal Tournament so getting this game was a no brainer for me. I put this game at the top of my list because of the recently released (FREE) Titan Pack and 2.0 update patch that was recently released for the game. This is a fast and furious run and gun FPS that is significantly different from Call of Duty or Killzone or even Resistance. This game supports PC Mods (now the game has a Mod browser built into the game), supports keyboard and mouse controls, supports split screen play, has single player, online co-op, multiplayer, AND supports Trophies. The Titan Pack was released today and clearly it had a positive effect on the online community. I was playing at 2 in the morning and there were still hundreds of people playing online. Seriously...give this game a shot. At worse...buy it used and return it if you don't like it. This game is made by EPIC, the guys that make Gears of War. The Unreal Engine that powers so many of today's games was named after this stellar franchise. It looks great, it plays great, it sounds great, it's fun, has lots of replayability, has limitless free expansions due to MODS, and it's CHEAP. Please join the online community. Odds are, you'll thank me for it.

2. The Orange Box- $19.99 new or $17.99 used. While we're on the topic of great FPS games with exceptional value, The Orange Box isa must have game. If you have an Xbox 360, buy it for that console as the game runs better on it. But you're not getting cheated of anything if you get the PS3 version. You get Half Life 2 (one of the greatest games ever made), Episodes 1 and 2 (expansions to the storyline), Portal (an excellent puzzle game), and Team Fortress 2 (class based online multiplayer) all in the box. Seriously...this is an exceptional deal for $60, now you can get it for $20. You'd be hard pressed to find a better deal.

3. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion- $19.99 new or $17.99 used. RPG fans rejoice! Oblivion has hundreds and hundreds of hours of excellent open-ended gameplay for you. There are hundreds of quests to do and a gigantic, beautifully crafted world to explore. The PS3 version looks and runs better than the Xbox 360 version too. I reccomend the original version of Oblivion over the GOTY version because it does not have the Vampire Cure Quest glitch and because it is cheaper. If you love the game and would like the play The Shivering Isles expansion, either buy it separately, or do what I did...Call up a local Gamestop and hunt down a used version of the disc. Buy it, take it home, download the expansion to your PS3, and then return the disc. But if you're going to do that, at least buy Oblivion new and support the developers...even they have bills to pay and it's better to support the game developers than supporting Gamestop.

If you have other games that you'd like to add to this list, please do. Gaming is an expensive hobby and in these tough economic times, it's good to get the most that you can for your money. As a hardcore gamer, it's also good not to waste your time with crappy games. These are 3 excellent examples of awesome, budget priced games that are well worth your time and money. Now...I'm going back to Unreal Tournament 3 to frag some unlucky fools.

I am: The_X_Factor_9. Add me. I play: Unreal Tournament 3, Killzone 2, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Little Big Planet, Warhawk, Metal Gear Online, Civilization Revolution, and Burnout Paradise. Let's play!
